Rabbi Kris Miccio
Rabbi Kris Miccio is a Professor of Law at the Sturm College of Law, University of Denver. Kris has written extensively on the issue of male intimate violence and conceptions of state accountability. She is a former prosecutor and the founding director of the Center for Battered Women’s Legal Services of Sanctuary for Families, NYC. Kris is a proud graduate of our first ordaining class.
Kris converted to Judaism in 1996 in large measure because she always believed that she was Jewish—and that was confirmed in 2009 when she found her birth mother who is in fact Jewish. Kris believes that her Catholic background and training in Christian doctrine is an added plus to her Rabbinical ordination.
Kris is a graduate of Marymount College of Fordham University. Antioch university Law School and Columbia University Law School. And, she is a published poet, a musician and a lover of all things Italian, or about the NY Yankees or about her beloved city—NYC!
Rabbi Kris presents a class on Forgiveness.
