She has performed several funerals at the Fort Sam Houston National Military Cemetery.

Rabbi Matthew Leibl of Winnipeg (Class #13) is in-house rabbi at a Jewish nursing home, performs life cycle ceremonies, and leads his own High Holiday services.  He does all of this while balancing life as dad to 4 and 6 year old sons.

Rabbi Suzanne Schermerhown (Class #22) continues to serve her congregation in upstate New York where she began as a member in 1975, began as a Lay Leader in 2014 and now serves as the Rabbi since her ordination in . She is a member of her county Board of Rabbis and her county’s Interfaith Council as well as being part of the Women Cantor’s Network.

She notes, “Demographically, we have a lot of venerable elders- me included- and some of them can’t drive at night or have mobility issues, plus we also have associate members in other states, some of whom are “regulars.” I am constantly challenged to be creative as almost everything we do is hybrid, and I really enjoy that.”

FUN FACT:

Rabbi Shereen Sarick (CO) (Class #9) and Rabbi Cantor Aviva Ravsky (CA) (Class #21) met up on the ski slopes in Aspen.  They loved the idea of having a female Rabbi ski-off.  See Photo.
