Rabbi Judy Ginsburgh (JSLI Class #6) has just accepted a full-time position as the Rabbi at Congregation Gemiluth Chassodim in Alexandria, Louisiana. She will begin working there on July 1.  For the past eight years, she has served as part-time Rabbi at B’nai Israel in Monroe, Louisiana.

Her childhood synagogue, Congregation Gemiluth Chassodim,  known locally as “The Jewish Temple” is an historic Jewish synagogue located in Alexandria, Louisiana. Founded in 1859 by Jews from the Alsace region of France, it is one of the oldest congregations in Louisiana and one of the original founding members of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, now known as the Union for Reform Judaism.

Rabbi Ginsburgh is a member of the Union of Jewish Universalist Clergy and Communities (ujuc.org) and led ma’ariv services at Sim Shalom the online synagogue.
